QUEENS CREATION 2019 - AUG 5th, 9th, & 10th



Queens Creation is a celebration of women in Urban Culture which began in 2013 and continues on to our current 2019 edition.

Queens Creation is an opportunity for people to network, discuss and appreciate those who identify as women across the culture.

This 2019 edition is composed of 3 different events, all of which are FREE

(please note that the Saturday event location is different than Monday & Friday)

What is rape culture and does it impact the dance community? How to create spaces in hip hop culture that are able to question gendered barriers that are normalized and are cyclically reproduced.
Sharing strategies to address these realities in light of these discussions.

-Friday, Aug. 9th:

4:30-5:30 Free yoga class
6-7pm Dance Workshop
7-9pm Panel Discussion with invited guests based on the Monday discussion
9-11pm 1 on 1 b-girl battle

-Saturday, Aug.10th:

2 on 2 All Styles battle
1 on 1 b-girl battle finals
